Pop-up market at Starbucks HQ

We’re at Starbucks HQ tomorrow from 11-1pm.  It’s a really fun outdoor event that happens rain or shine.  We have loved doing this event at Starbucks because the fellow vendors are fun, have lovely products and there is always yummy food and music to boot. Now all the great Starbucks fall drinks are in season and I’m loving the Evolution juice drinks they have partnered up with.

People either love their Starbucks or just avoid it all together.  I think Starbucks has done a great job of brining fair trade coffee to North American public to light.  The other cool thing is that a lot of Pax’s favourite parks/playgrounds has been made possible by the Starbucks foundation so we are really thankful for that.

If you are in the Seattle SODO (south of downtown) area, come by Starbucks headquarters and do a little early Christmas shopping, eat some really yummy quinoa salad and grab yourself that famous pumpkin spice latte. I’m going to have special discounts just for the event!

Astoria, Oregon

astoria-1

I’m officially in love with Astoria, Oregon. We took a mini-break to Portland and took the long way back to Seattle.  I haven’t been here since I ventured here with my friend A when we were young and fancy free (ie. no children). It was beautiful then and still is now. It’s much more developed now with lovely new builds that reflects the seaside architecture and a Safeway.  It has retained its charm with a thriving downtown area with lovely antique shops, cafes and artist shops. It’s a charming city at the upper west corner of Oregon at the mouth of the Columbia river.

It was a very very short break and I apologize for the lack of posts but I have been really busy tagging new items for the fulfillment centre and also organizing to head to the market this week. We are going to start out summer clearout of our items.  We have sales so we can move our goods and be able to work on new designs/products with the people we are partnered with.  We want to continue to empower them out of poverty and provide them with real meaningful work so that they are able to provide for their families and send their children to school. The summer prices will first start at the Starbucks home office outdoor market.  We have bags, tees, and even underwear marked down for super sweet deals. Follow us on Google+ or Facebook for more details if you are in the Seattle area.  It’s the best way to get the most up to date info on all our happenings.
